The Short of It

Happy Friday!
Here in Fargo, we have been having unseasonably warm weather which has me dreaming of summer clothes. I have been just dying to wear shorts lately so I dug deep in my closet and paired them with tights..and voila! I made sure to pair them with wintery pieces--sweater, scarf, & booties.

Superbowl Styling

Happy Superbowl Day! If you're anything like me, football is a foreign language to you. However, as the fashion obsessed we can use any event as our own personal fashion show and reason to style a cute outfit. I put together some outfits to help support your favorite team or support whatever colors look best with your eyes while you drink a bloody mary.

Resolution Revolution

For those of you who made the New Year's Resolution to work out more, keep reading. For those of you who are failing miserably, definitely keep reading..

Whenever I am in a work out rut, I find it helps to refresh my exercise wardrobe. It sounds silly but it works! It will get you excited and motivated again, and when you feel good about yourself in your new outfit, you will be more energized to work out.

I am loving the exercise clothing trends right now -- graphic tees with catchy verbiage, printed leggings, novelty sports bras, and colorful footwear. aand how cute is this yoga mat?

Fringe on Fringe

Can we ever have enough fringe in our lives? If you are asking me, definitely not! Fringe is so on trend right now and a great way to add drama and texture. I love this sweater because of the simple front and the surprise of fringe on the back.
Business in the front and party in the back.
The clutch may be fringe overkill, but I'm totally into it.

Frigid Fundamentals

Here in Fargo, we have been experiencing some frigid weather. This winter, like many others before, has been so kind to gift us with below zero temperatures. If you have ever traveled to the Midwest, you know what polar feels like. Therefore, I put together a guide of pieces you must own to survive in the winter months, while still being snow chic.

1. Cashmere Hat: Hats are such a great accessory to add, and this one keeps you warm as well. The faux fur pom pom is a must.
2. Coat: A coat is an obvious final layer, but the warmth level of the coat is crucial. Canada Goose makes one of the warmest coats I've tried.
3. Scarf: Bundling up with a scarf will keep you extra warm, make it a faux fur scarf and you will be extra chic.
4. Gloves: I prefer gloves over mittens just because they are easier for me to work with. If the gloves have touch screen finger tips you have an extra bonus because you won't have to take your gloves off to use your phone.
5. Boots: If you want to keep your toes warm, Sorel is the boot for the job. They have never failed me and this pair is super sleek.
6. Sweater: There's nothing better than cozying up with a warm, chunky sweater. I love the tall turtleneck on this one.

Goodbye 2014, Bring It On 2015

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a fabulous start to the new year. I love celebrating New Year's--it is the start of a brand new moment in your life with a fresh, clean slate. You can reflect on the memories of 2014, and look forward to the new experiences of 2015.

So with the New Year in our midst, obviously it got me thinking about what my plans and goals are. To outsmart my 2016 self, I thought of multiples to better my odds of achievement of course.

1. Live Healthy. Physically, nutritionally, and emotionally. My plan is to exercise more and live a more active life overall. I want to eat healthier and live a more balanced, holistic life. And for the last one..stress less and always try my best to be more kind.

2. Work Harder. Make a solid plan and follow through.

3. Adventure. Travel, take chances, and be bold.

Cheers!

Winter White

I love wearing white in the winter, because it is so fresh and crisp. It happened to snow today too, which is just an added bonus in my mind.
Wearing head-to-toe white can be tricky, but if you mix plenty of textures, the tones will work together. White jeans are a staple in any wardrobe, however, I was starting to get sick of mine. So, I updated them by cutting slits in the knees. I just love the added destruction.
